Nick Ambrosino

VDC Manager

Daniel O’Connell’s Sons


Nick Ambrosino is the VDC Manager for Daniel O’Connell’s Sons, a construction manager and general contractor based in Southern New England. Ambrosino has 13+ years in the construction industry, working on a variety of projects, including building, transportation, and wastewater. He relies on his engineering background to help solve the complex challenges encountered by the DOC project teams with technology and innovative solutions. Ambrosino works with others in DOC’s Innovation Group to help improve efficiency and promote collaboration within the company and the AEC industry. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a Professional Engineer in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Nick Castler

Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager

O&G Industries

 

Nick Castler, CM-BIM, is the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager for Connecticut’s O&G Industries – one of the countries Top 400 Construction Firms. Castler has been with O&G since 2007 and manages virtual design and building information modeling for the Building Group’s portfolio of education, healthcare, industrial/manufacturing, transportation, and commercial projects. He also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Technology, Engineering and Standard Operating Procedures committees. In addition to his professional work, Castler is a member of the CCIA’s Young Contractors Forum, an active participant in national BIM Forum conferences, and regularly attends Construction Institute BIM Council programs. He was the recipient of the Construction Institute Emerging Young Professional Award in 2018. Castler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also certified in Building Information Modeling (BIM) through the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

Erik Sanford is Director of VDC/BIM for Dimeo Construction Company servicing New England. He has been in the construction industry for 22 years, the last 14 have been spent in BIM management and implementation. He is actively involved in local technology and BIM committees and strives for continuous improvement.

Allison “Alli” Scott

Director, Construction Thought Leadership & Customer Marketing

Leveraging 13+ years in the architecture and construction industries, Allison Scott is a “technology translator” who supports construction thought leadership and customer marketing at Autodesk. She directly contributes to market strategy and oversees the development of content marketing, construction advocacy programs, events, innovation trendspotting and industry thought leadership initiatives. Prior to this role, she supported the national Innovation group of Skanska USA's construction division helping to investigate and integrate game-changing tech like virtual design and construction technologies, wearables, IoT/sensors, and drones onto the jobsite, and built business strategy for new products and services inspired by innovation endeavors. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Arts Management from Emerson College and an MBA in Innovation and Design Management from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. When not exploring the next great emerging tech, she can be found tending to her herb garden or spending time along the rocky shores of Massachusetts with her architect-husband and young son.

Nancy Greenwald

Executive Director

Construction Institute


Nancy Greenwald has 38 years of experience a lawyer and business executive in the design and construction industry, dealing with projects ranging in value from $100,000 to $5 billion. She is the Executive Director of the Construction Institute, a non-partisan association of diverse professions working to improve the construction industry by sharing knowledge, exchanging innovative ideas, building relationships, and developing business leaders. Its mission is to promote cross-industry collaboration. Greenwald serves on the American Arbitration Association's Commercial and Construction Industry Panels of Arbitrators and Mediators and has been appointed as a n arbitrator and mediator by numerous private clients and courts. She teaches negotiation and conflict resolution and speaks and writes frequently on best practices in construction project communication, dispute systems design, and construction technology and the law. She is active in many of the major construction industry groups, including the ABA Forum on Construction, serving on the steering committee for the Project Delivery and Technology Division. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School (cum laude) 1981.
